Apps, built by hand. Explained in plain English.

No templates, no low-code shortcuts, no "we'll optimise it after launch". Every app is architected, written and tested properly, by someone who has shipped software since 1987. If the brief is "make it cheap and make it fast", this isn't the right place.

Who you're hiring

Every enquiry, contract and payment is managed through Doubleslash Studio, the company I co-founded with web developer Dominic Francis. We create websites, apps, digital tools, business growth, while maintaining the personal touch.

How projects run

  1. Plan

A plain-English conversation about what you actually need, then a written scope with a price attached. No surprises three months in.

  2. Build

Hand-written code, tested as it goes, with something you can run and poke at along the way. You see progress, not silence.

  3. Support

Release, store submission, and then the long tail: updates, fixes, and someone who still answers the phone afterwards.

iOS & mobile apps

Native and cross-platform apps that feel like they belong on the device - maps, offline data, notifications, and App Store submission handled end-to-end.

Web applications

Full-stack, data-driven apps - accounts, dashboards, databases and authentication done properly, not bolted on at the end.

Prototypes

A working thing you can put in front of people, quickly, so you find out whether the idea holds up before the budget goes into a full build.

Rescue & re-work

An app that sort of works, a developer who has gone quiet, a codebase nobody understands. I have inherited worse. An honest read on what is salvageable, then the work to fix it.

Support

A launch is not the end. Updates, store resubmissions, plain-English answers, and a real human to speak to when something is not quite right.
